Name: Brenda Nakdimen
School: George R. Stuart
Class: Third Grade
I was born in California and raised on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I received my teaching degree in 1988, with a concentration in French, and my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, in 2009. I have taught Kindergarten through Grade 10, French Immersion, Early Reading Intervention, and served as a Vice Principal. One of my favorite grades to teach is 3rd Grade. I feel so fortunate to be a part of the George R. Stuart Team, where I have taught for the last several years.
I moved to Cleveland in 2009, after meeting my wonderful husband, Nick. I have two grown children, Trevor and Hannah, and a stepson, Gabe. Trevor serves in the U.S. Army and lives in Kansas with his wife Paige, a teacher and graduate of Lee University. Hannah lives and works in Chattanooga and recently finished her training as a yoga teacher. Gabe will be a junior this year and attends Walker Valley High School.
I enjoy yoga, kayaking, mountain biking, cooking, walking my dog, reading, and gardening. I love the outdoors and feel so blessed to live in Tennessee!
